Camp Contagious 2012
Camp with purposeThe purpose of Camp Contagious is to challenge the spiritual growth of students.
This year we will be focusing our theme on Sequence, following Christ, based on Luke 9:23.
Each day we have morning devotions, morning worship and evening worship. We also have campers in small groups to discuss and learn together. This could be a huge, life changing, week for your teen as they learn more about God.
Camp Staff All camp staff (majority are volunteers) are partners at Nags Head Church and have had a background check. All staff are adults. We do allow Seniors and 2012 graduates to serve as Student Leaders. Camp Shenandoah Springs provides us with staffing for the kitchen and dining hall and the lifeguards for the lake.
What is included in the Registration Fee?
Transportation from Nags Head Church to camp and back. All meals while at camp. Lodging. Programming Tubing on the river Luray Caverns Archery and Ropes Course
$400.00 camp registration fee.
You can save $100 by paying your non-refundable deposit by May 27th.

Day 3 Bible Study
Honoring God is not just a matter of personal belief, but also living to share God's truth with others.
Daniel 2.
>The gospel must be shared
>The gospel calls us to humility
>The gospel is all about God
Tonight Andy shared his story and talked with the students about sharing their story with their friends.
Our free time today was spent at Dollywood. Students grouped up and hit the amusement park and were seen screaming their heads off on some of the wild rides. It was incredibly hot!!
God is working in hearts this week. Please keep praying for our campers and our leaders.

Choosing Holiness, Day 2 Study
We had a request to post our daily themes so our folks back home know what's happening here in the Smokies.
Biblical Passage: Daniel 1; 1 Timothy 4:12,15
>Hard choices can come during difficult circumstances (Daniel 1:1-7)
>Obedience to God means taking risks (Daniel 1:8-14
>God provides what you need to do His will (Daniel 1:15-21)
>People notice when you continue being different (I Timothy 4:12,15)
Theme: Holy living requires a personal decision to honor God.
In the evening we took a look at Romans 12:1-2 and how those verses tied in with our theme.
Day two here we basically hung out at the cabin but did take an excursion to a huge pool with a slide and diving board. Lots of fun and community happening in this big old log cabin.

We are at Camp!!

We departed NHC at 5AM.
We stopped for breakfast and lunch along the way with a couple of fuel and potty stops along the way.
We arrived at the cabin safe and sound at 4:3o.
The kids are having a great time getting settled into the log cabin. We had our first evening worship together. I spoke about preparing for God to work in our lives this week. We took a look-see at Samuel as a child. We were challenged to say to God this week, "I'm here and I'm listening." God can do amazing things in our lives this week.
It is not 10:40pm. Lights are out and the kids are in bed. The team is about to have our staff meeting. Thanks for praying for us this week!
